Responsibilities

  • Lead Monthly Close & Consolidation: Oversee the monthly accounting close and corporate consolidation process, ensuring accurate internal and external financial reporting.
  • Financial Forecasting & Budgeting: Contribute to monthly forecasting and annual budgeting efforts with relevant financial insights.
  • GAAP Compliance & Reporting: Ensure timely consolidation of global entities, prepare elimination entries, and review executive reporting packages in line with GAAP.
  • Technical Accounting: Research and resolve complex accounting issues and coordinate with relevant units.
  • Audit Coordination & SEC Reporting: Manage quarterly audit deliverables, liaise with external auditors, oversee SEC filing processes, and ensure XBRL compliance.
  • Journal Entries & Reconciliations: Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations while streamlining and documenting processes.
  • Equity & Compensation Reporting: Oversee share-based compensation and EPS reporting, collaborating with HR and Legal for accuracy.
  • Operational Efficiency & Communication: Drive improvements in financial reporting cycles, document methodologies, and enhance communication across functions.
  • Team Leadership & Special Projects: Manage and develop a small team, support cross-functional personnel, and lead ad-hoc initiatives including M&A activities.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 4+ years of experience total in audit or similar function; public accounting or Big4 experience strongly preferred or SEC reporting or Public Company experience
  • Professional certification or advanced degree (CPA, MBA, or similar)
  • Effective communication and relationship building
  • Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
