Automation Engineer
SkyWater is partnering with a client in the North metro to find an Automation Engineer for their team! Our client is a family owned & operated business with a global manufacturing presence. The Automation Engineer will be responsible for developing & implementing automated solutions to enhance manufacturing processes. This includes implementing new technologies into manufacturing lines, developing PLC & automation controls, partnering with cross-functional engineering teams on projects, troubleshooting automation issues, and much more. We’re looking for a degreed engineer with at least 2 years of experience working in an electrical, controls or automation engineering role (or similar combination of positions). Responsibilities
- Implement new automation technologies into existing manufacturing lines.
- Develop & maintain PLC programs.
- Troubleshooting automation issues as needed.
- Look for manufacturing improvements & efficiencies through technology.
- Partner with cross-functional engineering teams on automation projects.
- Other duties or responsibilities as assigned.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant engineering field (electrical, mechanical, etc.).
- 2+ years of experience as an Automation, Controls or Electrical Engineer (or combination of positions).
- Experience programming PLC’s or HMI’s.
- Robotics experience a plus.
- Strong communication skills (both written & verbal).
