Business Development Manager
Our client is a rapidly growing company that provides security solutions into various industries across the nation. They sell their products, software, and services into K-12, government, healthcare, and commercial accounts. They are seeking a Business Development Sales Manager to add to their sales team of 6. This outside sales role will have internal support from the inside sales team, account managers, and service department. This individual will land and expand enterprise accounts and build relationships along with maintaining a strong pipeline. This role will report to the Director of Sales. This position will have limited travel and will be a remote position with some office time for sales meetings. This role will have the ability to have a strategic mindset and work closely to the leadership group. They will compensate well through a strong base salary plus commissions, 401k, and competitive benefits.
*Must be local to the Minnesota area to be considered for this position
Responsibilities
- Develop new client relationships with decision makers, conveying the capabilities, and working with the team to propose a solution
- Ability to work within the Minnesota territory and surrounding states
- Manage sales process from developing leads, qualifying opportunity, solution and proposal development, client presentation to close
- Meet or exceed sales quota while achieving gross margin expectations
- Manage their own sales pipeline and forecasts per the sales guidelines
Desired Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of security sales experience
- Knowledge of surveillance, access control, and identification is desired
- Ability to develop net new business and maintain client relationships is required
- Occasional regional and national travel
- Ability to work at a fast pace within a changing environment
