Job Description: As a Category Sourcing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in our procurement and supply chain operations. You will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies to ensure the availability of high-quality materials and services while optimizing costs and minimizing risks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation within the manufacturing or engineering industry.
Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement sourcing strategies to meet the company’s operational and financial objectives.
  2. Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and other performance metrics.
  3. Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with suppliers to achieve cost savings and mitigate risks.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to align sourcing activities with business goals and project timelines.
  5. Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular reviews to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and quality standards.
  6. Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and supply chain optimization.
  7. Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes that may impact sourcing strategies or supplier relationships.
  8. Manage relationships with key suppliers and foster partnerships to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
  9. Lead supplier qualification, audits, and performance evaluations to maintain a robust supplier base.
  10. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all sourcing activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in the manufacturing or engineering industry.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute sourcing strategies that deliver cost savings and mitigate risks.
  • Proficiency in contract negotiation, supplier relationship management, and supplier performance evaluation.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, supply chain tools, and procurement best practices.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
  • Certification in supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus
