Overview: As the Category Sourcing Manager – NPD, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the procurement of high-quality materials and components for our renowned line of tools. Your responsibilities will encompass strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, cost optimization, and quality assurance. You’ll collaborate closely with internal teams to drive innovation, efficiency, and excellence in our supply chain processes.
Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supplier Identification and Evaluation: Identify potential suppliers, assess their capabilities, and conduct thorough evaluations to ensure alignment with our quality standards and business objectives.
  2. Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to secure favorable agreements while maintaining quality and reliability. Manage supplier contracts effectively to mitigate risks and maximize value.
  3. Cost Optimization: Develop and implement strategies to optimize costs throughout the supply chain while maintaining quality standards. Continuously seek opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
  4. Supplier Relationship Management: Cultivate strong, collaborative relationships with key suppliers to foster trust, transparency, and mutual success. Work closely with suppliers to resolve issues, drive performance improvements, and capitalize on opportunities for innovation.
  5. Supply Chain Risk Management: Proactively identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation plans to ensure continuity of supply. Monitor market dynamics, geopolitical factors, and industry trends to anticipate and address potential disruptions.
  6. Quality Assurance: Collaborate with suppliers and internal quality assurance teams to uphold our stringent quality standards. Implement robust quality control processes to ensure that all materials and components meet specifications and regulatory requirements.
  7. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, manufacturing, engineering, and logistics, to align sourcing activities with overall business objectives and product requirements.


  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus.
  • Proven experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation, preferably in the manufacturing.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques. Experience with ERP systems and supply chain management software is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
