Key Responsibilities:

  • VDC Process Management: VDC processes will be planned, implemented, and overseen using appropriate technology platforms, including:
    • BIM models for existing conditions, cost estimation, 4D phase planning, design reviews, 3D visualization, 3D coordination, site utilization planning, construction system design, digital fabrication, and record modeling.
  • Design Review: Design documents will be analyzed for constructability and coordination issues.
  • Point of Contact: The main point of contact for construction team members regarding VDC processes and reports throughout all phases of manufacturing and construction will be served.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaboration among various project stakeholders will be facilitated.
  • Fabrication Support: Fabrication drawings, virtual mockups, and digital prototypes will be created to support the production team.
  • Process Documentation: Work processes will be documented to improve or modify current company standards.
  • Additional Duties:
    • Training and development on virtual construction tools and methodologies will be assisted.
    • Support for project pursuits, proposals, and presentation materials will be provided.
    • Active participation in the Integrated Delivery Advancement Team (IDAT) community will be expected, sharing knowledge and best practices.
    • Daily work planning will be engaged in.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of intermediate-level BIM/VDC software training is required.
  • Familiarity with Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DfMA) principles is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to organize and manage multiple project tasks simultaneously, is necessary.
  • A basic understanding of construction principles and business practices is essential.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, project management, and relevant web applications is required.
  • A positive, professional attitude with strong customer service skills is expected.
  • Effective interpretation and communication of company policies are necessary.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, initiative, problem-solving, and leadership skills are essential.
  • Openness to diverse input and feedback is encouraged.
  • Competency with Autodesk AEC Collection (Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Autodesk ReCap Pro), Revizto, Synchro 4D, Trimble SketchUp, and Bluebeam Revu is required.
  • Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud, Autodesk Point Layout, Reality Capture platforms (OpenSpace, StructionSite, Faro Scene, Trimble RealWorks), and Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign) is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with cold-formed steel framing software, Framecad Detailer, Autodesk Inventor, Parametric Analysis solutions, basic key frame animation, and 2D/3D rendering capabilities is helpful but not required.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of related experience is necessary.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.

Role Overview
