Our privately-held, fast-growing client is a well-established, nearly $1B+ industrial business that has retained us to identify their next Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). This organization has grown very quickly in the last 25 years, both organically and through a number of acquisitions…and they aren’t slowing down anytime soon!

The CHRO will be a key executive leadership team member responsible for shaping and executing our client’s human resources strategy to support the company’s growth and transformation. Managing an HR function of around 20 people, this role requires a forward-thinking leader who can anticipate future trends, foster a culture of innovation, and ensure that their workforce is equipped to meet the challenges of tomorrow. They seek a visionary CHRO to lead their human resources strategy and drive people-centric initiatives among the organization’s 1,000+ employees. The role reports to the CEO, and will also provide thought leadership to the executive leadership team and the Board of Directors.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive human resources strategy that aligns with the company's long-term goals and objectives.
  • Lead initiatives to attract, retain, and develop top talent, ensuring a diverse and inclusive workforce.
  • Drive organizational change and transformation, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Oversee employee engagement and well-being programs, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
  • Implement cutting-edge HR technologies and data-driven approaches to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align HR initiatives with business priorities and drive organizational success.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations, maintaining the highest standards of ethical conduct.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • A BS/BA degree from an accredited college/university; MBA or MA/MS in human resources or related field preferred.
  • A minimum of 15 years of HR experience, with at least five years of executive HR experience.
  • SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification preferred.
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, trends, and technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a diverse team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, focusing on future trends and challenges.
  • Strong analytical skills are needed to integrate and interpret data from diverse sources and find optimal solutions to human relations, strategic, or process-related problems.
  • Proven ability to make difficult decisions to meet company goals.
  • Diligent and firm with high ethical standards.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%.
