Design Engineer
SkyWater is excited to be partnering with a new manufacturing client in the Northwest metro to help them find their next Design Engineer. They’re a smaller company and pride themselves on a collaborative approach, delivering custom solutions to meet the unique needs of their clients. As a smaller organization, they offer a tight-knit and supportive work environment where employees have the opportunity to work on diverse projects and continuously expand their skill sets. They’ve exceeded sales expectations for the past 5 years and are continuing to see that trend.
Responsibilities
- Lead and design projects to develop new custom products based on the customer's needs
- Develop new product design based on research and data analysis
- Define the scope and timeline of each project.
- Identify opportunities through cost reduction
- Improve manufacturing efficiencies by analyzing previous product designs
- Manage projects from conception through completion
- Collaborate with internal departments (Sales, Engineering & Production)
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 2+ years of experience of design engineering experience
- Sheet Metal experience preferred
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
