We’re excited to partner with an innovative manufacturing company to find them a talented Design Engineer to join their New Product Development team. In this role, you’ll focus on the design and development of systems for next-generation vehicles. We’re looking for someone with a strong analytical mindset and a passion for solving engineering challenges that meet real-world market demands. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in an Automotive/recreational vehicle design, prototype development, and navigating multiple stages of the product development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop systems (suspension, steering, etc.) for vehicles with a focus on performance, durability, and manufacturability
  • Translate customer requirements into engineering solutions by working closely with internal teams, including architecture, product management, and design.
  • Create detailed 3D models and assemblies to support prototype builds and testing efforts.
  • Conduct simulations and performance analysis using relevant engineering tools to validate design concepts and improvements.
  • Support the development of functional prototypes in collaboration with engineering and testing teams.
  • Work across various stages of the development process—from CAD layout through to prototype evaluation
  • Contribute to the research and development of new technologies and systems aimed at improving existing product lines and introducing innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate with global engineering partners, industrial designers, test engineers, and other key stakeholders throughout the design and validation process.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of design engineering experience within automotive or powersports industry
  • Background in project leadership, with strong sills in planning and communication across cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of various manufacturing techniques and processes
  • Protype development and fabrication is a plus
  • Expertise in metal forming, structural joints and weld design
  • 3D CAD background. Ideally Siemens NX
