Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Designer/Drafter to join our dynamic team. As a Design/Drafter, you will play a pivotal role in the construction process by translating conceptual designs into detailed technical drawings and plans. Your precise and accurate drafting will be instrumental in guiding our construction projects to successful completion.

Responsibilities:

  1. Drafting: Produce detailed technical drawings and plans for construction projects, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details, using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.
  2. Collaboration: Work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to understand project requirements and translate design concepts into accurate drawings.
  3. Review and Revise: Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with building codes and regulations. Revise drawings as necessary based on feedback from stakeholders.
  4. Documentation: Maintain organized documentation of all drawings and revisions, ensuring that all versions are up-to-date and accessible to the project team.
  5. Problem-solving: Identify and resolve potential design issues or conflicts during the drafting process, consulting with architects and engineers as needed to find effective solutions.
  6. Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks on completed drawings to ensure adherence to project specifications, standards, and best practices.
  7. Communication: Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to clarify requirements, address concerns, and provide updates on project progress.
  8. Deadline Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and project milestones.

Requirements:

  1. Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience. Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.)
  2. Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction principles, building codes, and regulations. Familiarity with architectural and engineering terminology and standards.
  3. Skills: Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  4. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  5. Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities. Willingness to learn new skills and technologies as needed.
