DevOps Engineer
SkyWater Search has partnered with a leading Chicago-based financial technology firm seeking a DevOps Engineer to join their growing team.
In this role, you’ll work closely with engineering leadership, development, and client support teams to drive automation, monitoring, and deployment initiatives across a highly available, secure trading platform. This is a full-time onsite role in downtown Chicago.
Compensation: $110K–$125K + bonus

Responsibilities
Support continuous delivery pipelines, building automation and monitoring tools. Troubleshoot and resolve help desk tickets related to the trading platform. Manage Linux server environments, including SSH tunneling and DNS/network troubleshooting. Write Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and build CI/CD pipelines. Provide DevOps support with scripting/programming (Python, Golang, JavaScript, Bash, PowerShell). Architect and deploy secure infrastructure, including Docker and Kubernetes in AWS. Monitor systems with tools such as CloudWatch, DataDog, and New Relic. Run and maintain environments (dev, staging, sandbox, production).
Desired Skills and Experience
4+ years in a DevOps/SRE role with 3–5 years technical experience. Strong Linux server management background. Hands-on experience with Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS. Knowledge of at least one programming language (Python, Golang, or JavaScript). Strong troubleshooting, time management, and organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and clients. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
