Director of Facilities
SkyWater is partnering with an existing client in Minneapolis to find a Director of Facilities for their team! This person will be responsible for overseeing a historic, 100-year-old building in the Minneapolis area while leading a small team of 4 direct reports. It’s a blended position where you’ll lead the facilities team while overseeing facility maintenance projects (HVAC, electrical, etc.), working on preventative maintenance initiatives, leading capital projects, managing the facilities budget, overseeing facilities safety initiatives, and much more. We’re looking for an experienced Facilities or Maintenance Manager with team leadership experience who can make a big impact in this role. Responsibilities
- Oversee the mechanical, electrical, and HVAC facility systems.
- Work on preventative maintenance plans and oversee capital projects.
- Partner with outside services (construction, safety, etc.) to ensure facilities projects are completed.
- Lead and distribute projects for facilities team members to complete.
- Maintain facility security systems and look for improvements as needed.
- Partner with leadership on strategic initiatives.
- Other projects or responsibilities as assigned.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelors or Associate’s Degree in facility management or a related field (construction, engineering, etc.).
- 8+ years of facilities, maintenance, or security management experience (or combination of similar positions).
- 3+ years of experience managing, supervising, or leading team members.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects & responsibilities.
- Strong communication skills (both written & verbal).
