Director of Information Technology (MN-based)
SkyWater is partnering with a Minnesota-based manufacturing company to recruit a hands-on IT leader who can scale modern technology capabilities within a regulated environment. This mid-sized organization ($50M–$150M revenue) is a proven leader in its industry and backed by an ownership group deeply committed to long-term sustainability and growth. Based in the Twin Cities metro, this is an opportunity to guide an IT team through the next phase of transformation and expansion.

Responsibilities
Own and execute IT strategy across ERP (NetSuite), infrastructure, and cybersecurity for a multi-site manufacturing environment. Lead and develop a 9-person IT team, driving system optimization, modernization, and a culture of accountability and partnership. Ensure compliance with CMMC, ITAR, and other regulatory frameworks while strengthening overall security posture. Drive technology innovation, including AI use-case exploration and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and profitability. Collaborate with a PE-backed network, leveraging shared best practices and mentoring talent within a flat, execution-focused organizational structure.
Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred. 7+ years of IT experience in complex, multi-site manufacturing environments. Deep ERP expertise, with a strong preference for NetSuite and experience simplifying or modernizing heavily customized systems. Hands-on, proactive IT leader with working knowledge of CMMC and a strong operational mindset. Experience leading AI initiatives and evaluating practical use cases that drive efficiency and decision-making. M&A experience, including systems integration, due diligence, and post-close harmonization. Collaborative, influential partner who thrives in entrepreneurial, purpose-driven cultures and works seamlessly across the business.
