Director of IT
Our client is seeking an experienced IT Director to lead and manage all aspects of its information technology infrastructure. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for developing and executing the company’s IT strategy, ensuring reliable systems performance, security, and efficiency across the organization. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with a strong technical background and a collaborative leadership style.
Key Responsibilities:
- IT Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and implement a technology roadmap aligned with business goals.
- Lead and mentor a team of four IT professionals across support, infrastructure, and systems.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend upgrades to improve business processes.
- Infrastructure & Systems Management
- Oversee the maintenance and performance of servers, networks, databases, cloud environments, and end-user computing.
- Ensure high availability, reliability, and scalability of enterprise systems, including ERP platforms and remote site connectivity.
- Cybersecurity & Risk Management
- Implement and monitor security protocols, disaster recovery plans, and data protection measures.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and data privacy regulations.
- Application Support & Vendor Management
- Lead the support, integration, and optimization of core business applications (including ERP and CRM systems).
- Manage relationships with IT vendors, service providers, and consultants to ensure high-quality services and cost-effective solutions.
- Operational Excellence & Project Delivery
- Lead technology-related projects across departments, from design through implementation.
- Establish KPIs and performance metrics to evaluate IT effectiveness and team productivity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 8+ years of progressive IT experience, including 3+ years in a leadership or management role.
- Strong working knowledge of networking, security, infrastructure, cloud services (Azure, AWS), and enterprise systems.
- Experience supporting ERP systems, preferably in manufacturing or distribution environments.
- Proven ability to lead small teams and manage multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
