Director of Sales – North Carolina
Our client is an industry-leading automation and engineering company headquartered in North Carolina. Successful selling directly and through manufacturer representatives, this company is poised for significant growth in the coming years.
They have retained us to find their next Director of Sales to spearhead their strategic efforts, partnering with the rest of senior leadership to scale the business. The ideal candidate has a strong engineering and sales background with experience in automation sales and leadership. They will need to be financially astute with a strong understanding of budgets and forecasting.
This executive leader will be managing direct reports for Sales, Engineering, Applications, and Rep Engagement teams, with dotted-line reports for Customer Service. They will be managing manufacturer representative firms throughout the United States. Driving revenue performance, they will responsible for strategic execution and new business growth.
This role compensates well through base salary, bonus, full benefits, stock options, and immense continued growth opportunities within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Sales team leadership and coaching
- Driving new business growth
- Revenue strategy and execution (EBIDTA targets)
- Company leadership
- Creation and oversight of sales and manufacturer rep programs
Desired Skills and Experience
- 10+ years of sales management
- Engineering degree preferred (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial)
- 3+ years managing rep firms
- Strong business and financial acumen
- Negotiation expertise
- Experience with automation and engineered solutions
