Electrical Engineer
The Electrical Engineer will be focusing on ensuring engineering designs comply with applicable industry standards, this will not be a design-based role.
You will be responsible outlining and validating product certification and product compliance, and approving those proposals with the necessary third-party compliance bodies. You will also characterize test plans, outline data collection requirements, and oversee data collection methods.
You’ll be involved in every aspect of electrical engineering projects within the organization as the technical expert to offer support, define requirements, and offer advice towards design or process requirements for new product development.
This is a hybrid opportunity, 4x days on site per week.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate proposed designs against applicable standards and compliance that may be required
- Research and investigate all necessary information and act as an advisor to the engineering team
- Lead design meetings by clearly communicating design requirements to your colleagues and give direction as needed
- Define and execute test plans & procedures against regulatory and standards requirements
- Be the company representative in communications with third party bodies
Desired Skills and Experience
- BSEE required and 5+ years OR MSEE and 2+ years of electrical engineering experience, preferably with exposure to design standards and engineering compliance
- 2+ years defining and executing test plans and test procedures and the ability to compare and contrast results with industry standards
- Ability to interface with customers
