Engineering Manager
SkyWater is partnering with a global manufacturer who’s looking for an Engineering Manager to lead their site in Duluth MN! The Engineering Manager will oversee mechanical, process and maintenance engineering groups across multiple shifts. They’ll also work with leadership on strategic initiatives, make sure engineering systems are running smoothly & efficiently, place an emphasis on safety & quality, and much more. We’re looking for an experienced engineering leader with a background in maintenance or process engineering who can hit the ground running in this role. Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day mechanical, process and maintenance engineering functions of the plant.
- Lead process engineering improvements and work with plant leadership on strategic initiatives.
- Develop & implement preventative maintenance plans and troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Maintain mechanical engineering systems and make sure processes are running as smoothly & efficiently as possible.
- Oversee a team of 20 reports (direct & indirect) across multiple shifts while developing & growing team members.
- Other projects or responsibilities as assigned.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 10+ years of engineering experience working in mechanical, process, or maintenance engineering roles (or combination of roles).
- 3+ year of managing, supervising or leading team members (directly or indirectly).
- Experience working on capital equipment projects highly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) and the ability to work with all levels of an organization (operators, managers, engineers, etc.).
