Engineering Manager
SkyWater is partnering with an existing client in the East metro on an Engineering Manager search! The Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading a small team of 4 engineers while also digging into hands-on projects. This person will report directly to the company President to help achieve strategic initiatives for the organization. Our client is a custom manufacturer who’s been growing organically & through acquisitions over the last few years. Responsibilities
- Lead a team of mechanical & electrical engineers (4 direct reports total).
- Partner with company leadership to achieve short-term and long-term initiatives.
- Distribute projects to team members, conduct annual reviews, and mentor & grow the team.
- Oversee projects to make sure work is completed on time and within budget.
- Other projects or responsibilities as assigned.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical or electrical engineering roles (or combination of similar roles).
- 1+ year of experience leading or managing engineers (directly or indirectly).
- Strong communication skills (both written & verbal).
- Ability to problem solve and make independent decisions.
