Estimating Engineer
SkyWater is partnering with an existing client who’s looking for an Estimating Engineer to join their team. Our client is a successful contract manufacturer who’s been in business for over 35 years. They’re based in the North metro and are currently building a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility that they’re planning on moving into in the next few years. The Estimating Engineer will work directly with internal teams and customers to provide project cost estimates. This includes generating quotes, providing estimates to clients and working with customers on product questions & recommendations. We’re looking for an individual who has experience working in contract manufacturing or a similar industry and someone who has experience generating quotes or project estimates. Responsibilities
- Work with customers on project estimates and generate quotes.
- Partner with internal engineering & sales teams on projects.
- Maintain and update ERP system throughout project lifecycles.
- Make product or process recommendations to customers as needed.
- Other projects or responsibilities as assigned.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in an estimating or quoting position (or combination of positions).
- Experience working in contract manufacturing or ISO13485 environment preferred.
- Strong communication skills (both written & verbal).
