SkyWater Search is partnering with a collaborative, growth-oriented U.S. manufacturer seeking a strategic and hands-on HR Business Partner to join its People Operations team. This role reports to the VP of People Operations and plays a critical part in aligning people strategy with business goals. The company operates under the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) and places high value on culture, accountability, and continuous improvement. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional to shape programs, influence senior leadership, and help scale the People function during a period of growth and organizational transformation.

The Opportunity

Our client is seeking an HR Business Partner to join their People Operations team. This is a hybrid position based in Annandale, MN, requiring a minimum of three days per week onsite. Occasional travel may be required to support other U.S.-based locations.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Partnership: Work closely with the VP of People Operations to design and execute HR strategies aligned with EOS principles and company goals.
  • PEO Collaboration: Provide strategic oversight and coordination with the company’s PEO for payroll, benefits, compliance, and HR operations.
  • EOS Integration: Champion the use of EOS tools such as Scorecards, Rocks, and L10 meetings to align People Ops with business priorities.
  • Employee Lifecycle: Manage key employee touchpoints including onboarding, development, performance management, and offboarding.
  • Culture & Engagement: Lead initiatives to reinforce core values, elevate employee engagement, and maintain a people-first culture.
  • Compliance & Policy: Ensure HR policies are aligned with regulatory requirements and organizational needs, in partnership with the PEO.
  • Data & Insights: Use HR analytics to support decision-making and track key metrics such as retention and engagement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a liaison between HR and other departments, helping teams align with growth and culture goals.
  • Project Leadership: Drive or co-lead projects related to compensation, benefits, learning and development, and employee programs.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 7–10 years of progressive HR/People Operations experience
  • Strategic and analytical thinker with strong project management skills
  • Comfortable balancing strategic direction with tactical execution
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills across all levels of an organization
  • SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or similar certification a plus
  • Growth mindset, high integrity, and passion for culture-building
