SkyWater Search is excited to partner with a fast-growing medical device company based in Roseville, MN as they look to hire their first full-time HR leader and continue to develop the HR function. The company is highly innovative, and their technology is transforming how clinicians work and how patients are protected. Following a recent expansion into a new facility and continued year-over-year revenue growth, this company is scaling rapidly, with headcount expected to reach 75 employees by year-end and plans to nearly double again in 2026.

As our client continues its transition from early-stage startup to scaling enterprise, we are conducting the search for the company’s first Human Resources Director, who will be a hands-on, strategic HR leader who will build the company’s people function from the ground up.

Reporting directly to the CFO and serving as a key member of the leadership team, this individual will formalize and elevate HR operations, shape the culture, and create scalable programs that support long-term growth. The ideal candidate will bring both strategic perspective and a roll-up-your-sleeves approach, comfortable toggling between building processes and advising executives.

Desired Skills and Experience

-8–12+ years of progressive HR experience, including 3+ years in a standalone leadership role. -Experience in high-growth, entrepreneurial environments (medical device, manufacturing, or technology preferred). -Strong generalist foundation across recruiting, compliance, employee relations, and culture-building. -Strategic and business-minded with a hands-on, execution-oriented approach. -Excellent communicator with the ability to build trust and credibility across all levels. -Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (advanced degree or certification a plus).
