Linux System Engineer
SkyWater Search is excited to partner with a Global Quantitative Trading Firm to find a Linux System Engineer. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn how these environments work and gain valuable skills that will make you an invaluable part of the infrastructure that runs some of Chicago’s most valuable companies.
The engineering team is responsible for all technical infrastructure from latency optimized systems that execute trades at financial exchanges to massive computer clusters used for quantitative research.
This is a full-time, on-site opportunity with excellent pay and benefits.
Applicants will need to be open to participation in weekend change work.

Desired Skills and Experience
- Extensive experience with Linux systems at large scale
- Proficiency with at least one of the following configuration management systems: Ansible, Salt, Chef
- Scripting in Python or Shell
- Detailed understanding of computer hardware, Linux Kernel Configuration or Tuning, and systemd.
