Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for quality assurance, a strong analytical mindset, and the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives within our manufacturing processes. As a Quality Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

Responsibilities:

  1. Quality Assurance:
    • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits of production processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
    • Perform root cause analysis for non-conforming products and implement preventative measures to minimize future defects.
  2. Process Improvement:
    • Utilize statistical analysis and data-driven methodologies to identify opportunities for process optimization and waste reduction.
    • Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing product quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
    • Implement Lean Six Sigma principles and methodologies to streamline production processes and eliminate variability.
    • Drive a culture of quality excellence by promoting best practices and providing training to production personnel.
  3. Supplier Quality Management:
    • Evaluate and qualify suppliers based on their quality management systems, capabilities, and performance.
    • Establish quality agreements and monitor supplier performance to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
    • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  4. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of quality-related data, including inspection reports, test results, and non-conformance reports.
    • Prepare comprehensive quality metrics and reports for management review, highlighting trends, issues, and improvement opportunities.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards through proper documentation and reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality engineering or related roles, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, tools, and methodologies (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across functional teams.
  • Certification in Quality Engineering (CQE) or Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt) is a plus.
