SkyWater Search Partners is partnering with a multi-site medical device manufacture to find their next HR Manager. The position splits time between two facilities in the North Twin Cities Metro. We are looking for someone who can sit on the executive leadership team, has the ability to drive strategic initiatives and lead HR staff. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide HR leadership for a multi-location business division by actively partnering with the senior leadership team and leading HR staff
  • Counsel and coach leadership to align HR with the business strategy, establishing and implementing short-term and long-term strategies that drive business results
  • Lead evaluation of employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices. Manage employee relations issues including facilitating and resolving organizational conflict
  • Manage the performance management process, which includes providing effective training as well as coaching leaders and employees on goal setting and performance management communication/documentation
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities and support efforts in order to implement LEAN principles throughout the organization
  • Create effective talent acquisition strategies in order to meet current and future business staffing needs
  • Lead the talent management process including workforce planning and succession planning
  • Participate in the annual benefit review process, including providing feedback regarding design or policy changes, oversee administration of all benefit programs.
  • Create and execute on-boarding program for new hires as well as training and development content to proactively develop and retain talent
  • Manage compensation activity for the business to ensure company pay practices are adhered to and internal and market equity is maintained. Consult with leaders on new job titles and oversee the effectiveness and administration of the incentive program
  • Manage and oversee all safety programs, ensuring compliance with both Federal and State laws

Qualifications / Skills:

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience as a HR Business Partner or HR Manager preferably in a manufacturing environment supporting highly technical machinists
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Proven leadership skills, including experience managing other HR professionals
  • Ability to build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships at all levels
  • Results oriented with strong bias for action
  • Ability to operate effectively in a matrixed environment
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills

Preferred:

  • MBA and/or SPHR certification
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles
  • Experience working in medical device manufacturing environment
  • Experience leading HR at multiple locations
