SkyWater Search Partners is partnered with a plastics manufacturing company looking to bring in a Thermoforming Engineer or Supervisor to optimize its thermoforming machines and lead a small team.
Some of the responsibilities include:
• Supervises and organizes employees in plastic product formation, delegating tasks and timelines effectively.
• Proficiently manages Thermoforming processes from initiation to completion, including troubleshooting, while providing comprehensive training to staff.
• Conducts thorough training sessions on safe machine operation, setup, and processing for Thermoforming equipment, pairing trainees with experienced workers for practical learning.
• Utilizes knowledge of machining techniques to potentially set up and operate various machine tools and hand tools for part fabrication.
• Conducts pre-production checks on shop floors, ensuring accuracy, raw material, and tooling availability, while overseeing and approving labor reporting for the Forming department.
Experience:
• Four plus (4+) years of experience working with and programming thermoforming equipment
• Ability to read blueprints
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
