Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Production to lead our manufacturing operations. As the Director of Production, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective production of pharmaceutical and healthcare products, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and implement production strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create production plans that meet market demand while optimizing resource utilization.

2. Manufacturing Operations:

  • Oversee day-to-day manufacturing activities, ensuring the smooth operation of production lines.
  • Monitor and analyze production metrics to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
  • Maintain compliance with industry regulations and quality standards.

3. Team Leadership:

  • Build and lead a high-performing production team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to team members, promoting their professional development.

4. Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure that all production processes adhere to quality control and assurance protocols, meeting or exceeding regulatory requirements.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions as needed to address quality issues.

5. Budget Management:

  • Develop and manage the production budget, controlling costs while ensuring optimal production levels.
  • Identify opportunities for cost-saving initiatives and efficiency improvements.

6. Supplier and Vendor Relations:

  • Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to manage relationships with suppliers and vendors, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of raw materials.

7. Continuous Improvement:

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the production department, incorporating Lean and Six Sigma principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

8. Safety and Compliance:

  • Promote a culture of safety and compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Monitor and enhance workplace safety protocols and practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare product manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) and other relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and optimize production efficiency.
