Maintenance Engineer
SkyWater is partnering with a client in the North metro to find a Maintenance Engineer for their team! Our client is a global manufacturer that’s been successfully operating for over 150 years. The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, reliability, and safety of plant machinery & equipment. This includes working on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and working on continuous improvement initiatives to minimize downtime & support production goals. We’re looking for a degreed engineer with at least 1 year of experience working in a maintenance engineering role (or similar position). Responsibilities
- Perform routine & preventive maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize production downtime.
- Partner with cross-functional engineering teams and production teams on equipment upgrades, installations, & improvements.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work in the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Recommend & implement improvements to enhance equipment reliability.
- Other duties or projects as assigned.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 1+ year of experience in a maintenance engineer or similar role (or combination of positions).
- Excellent communication skills (both written & verbal).
- Familiarity with CMMS software.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principals preferred.
