Manufacturing Manager
SkyWater is partnering with an existing client in the North metro to find a Manufacturing Manager for their team! Our client is an industry leader in their space and they’ve been family owned & operated for over 100 years. This person will be responsible for overseeing the machine shop (leading maintenance, machining & tooling) while managing a small team of 5 direct reports. The Manufacturing Manager will also be responsible for creating preventative maintenance plans, overseeing machine installations, leading continuous improvement initiatives, implementing lean manufacturing principals, and much more. We’re looking for a degreed engineer who has experience overseeing machining, maintenance or tooling departments (or combination of similar departments). Responsibilities
- Create & implement preventive maintenance plans.
- Manage installation of new equipment & machines.
- Oversee a small team of 5 direct reports across maintenance & machining.
- Manage the department budget & work with site leadership on strategic initiatives.
- Other duties or projects as assigned.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience within manufacturing or process engineering roles (or similar experience).
- At least 1 year of management, supervisory or lead experience.
- Strong communication skills (verbal & written).
