Manufacturing Engineer
SkyWater is partnering with an existing client in Minneapolis to find a Manufacturing Engineer for their team! Our client is an industry leader in their space and they’ve been experience some exciting growth over the last year fueled by new customers & product lines. The Manufacturing Engineer will be primarily tasked with working on packaging product lines and will be responsible for troubleshooting packaging equipment issues, evaluating line capabilities for new product launches, looking for process improvements, and working with cross-functional teams on projects. We’re looking for a degreed engineer with at least 1 year of experience working in a Manufacturing or Process Engineering role and experience working with packaging equipment. Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot packaging equipment issues and implement corrective actions when needed.
- Evaluate existing lines for new product manufacturing capabilities and look for process improvements/efficiencies.
- Partner with cross-functional teams on projects (sales, supply chain, quality, etc.).
- Develop & maintain standard operating procedures (SOP’s), equipment documentation and process control plans.
- Lead new packaging equipment projects as needed (layout, installation, and commissioning).
- Other duties or projects as assigned.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 1+ year of manufacturing, process, or similar engineering experience (or combination of experience).
- Experience working with packaging equipment or machinery required.
- GMP manufacturing experience preferred (pharma, food/beverage, etc.).
- Strong communication skills (both written & verbal).
