National Accounts Manager – Off Road OEMs (CNH, Cat, Deere, etc)
I have been retained by one of my Fab 40 metal fabrication clients to help them find an outstanding National Accounts Manager who has current or recent sales experience working for a metal fabricator selling to Off Road OEMs like John Deere, Bobcat, Caterpillar, CNH, AGCO..etc. In this role you will receive an existing book of business but be expected to hunt new business with non-existing customers. My client has pioneered sophisticated manufacturing solutions and has a sterling reputation which is built on technical expertise, engineering innovation, and a relentless commitment to exceeding customer expectations. Top reps at this company consistently earn over $350K per year.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing, this job is a blend of hunting and farming where you will work with a group of existing customers to grow and nurture the relationship to gain a larger share of wallet. You will also be responsible for targeting and establishing new business opportunities with new off-road OEM customers. The company rewards sales performance with a very lucrative incentive package. It is is a unique role for an individual to seamlessly blend technical understanding with exceptional sales acumen. You will be instrumental in identifying, qualifying, and closing new business by engaging with customers on a technical level, understanding their complex manufacturing needs, and presenting compelling, value-engineered solutions. This pivotal role demands a results-oriented individual with a proven track record of identifying, qualifying, and securing new business. They want this person to forge strong, lasting partnerships with key OEMs while directly influence success by championing innovative solutions and cultivating long-term, repeatable business. Travel will be up to 50% and the company will guarantee income to attract the right people.
Desired Skills and Experience
My client wants to hire sales people who have a hunter vs. farmer mentality and are motivated by an opportunity to make a lot of money. Ideal areas to be located are Milwaukee or Minneapolis followed by the central 1/3 of the country. The company is looking for a person who thrives on identifying new opportunities, challenges the status quo, and is passionate about setting concrete steps to bring a vision to life. Ideally, they would like to find someone with 5-10+ years sales experience of which 3+ years has been in a customer facing sales role for a metal fabricator selling into large Off-Road OEM customers (i.e., John Deere, Cat, CNH, Oshkosh, Terex).
