We’re partnering with a long-standing, well-respected local wealth management firm to grow their Financial Planning Team with an experienced Paraplanner. 

Responsibilities

  • Support advisors in gathering, organizing, and analyzing client financial information for comprehensive financial planning.
  • Prepare, model, and process financial plans using NaviPlan and supporting Excel tools, including insurance needs, net worth, retirement, education funding, and other planning analyses.
  • Compile, review, and produce final financial planning reports, serving as backup for report preparation and delivery.
  • Coordinate and oversee Associate Paraplanners, including task delegation, workflow management, training support, and participation in performance evaluations.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and refinement of financial planning processes, procedures, and best practices in collaboration with advisors and the planning team.
  • Monitor NaviPlan updates, tax law changes, and industry developments, communicating relevant impacts to advisors and planning staff.
  • Research and evaluate financial planning software, tools, and technologies to improve efficiency and client value.
  • Assist in preparing client meeting materials, including financial summaries, net worth statements, and supporting documentation.
  • Provide cross-functional support to operations and team members and assist with special projects as needed.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 3-5+ years of financial planning experience required; NaviPlan experience is preferred
  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation or ability to obtain within 1 year of joining the firm
  • Strong attention to detail skills and orientation to numbers
  • Polished presentation and written communication skills
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and interest in helping to contribute to growth of company
  • Team-orientated nature
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
