Plant Manager
The Plant Manager will oversee, supervise, and organize the operations of all production divisions to guarantee that company-manufactured products are produced on time and meet quality standards and budget targets. You will develop and execute offset and flexographic manufacturing strategies and goals related to the production of company goods to ensure the successful attainment of organizational objectives while promoting and maintaining a positive workplace culture.
Responsibilities
- Oversee manufacturing operations of a flexographic and offset press production facility to ensure high-quality production, safety, and efficiency while meeting customer specifications.
- Develop manufacturing plans, policies, and procedures to maintain high standards and achieve cost-effective operations, aligning with company and customer quality requirements.
- Manage employee levels, reduce overhead and material costs, and drive efficiency improvements while supporting waste reduction and productivity goals.
- Direct department supervisors, facilitate communication across teams, and collaborate with the sales team to meet operational and performance targets.
- Initiate and manage major projects, including equipment investment and plant layout changes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, efficiency, and capacity.
- Lead safety, employee development, and regulatory compliance efforts while supporting strategic planning, budgeting, and organizational goals.
Desired Skills and Experience
- 10+ years in manufacturing & production management, preferably in a flexible packaging-related industry
- 4 year degree is preferred, but not required
- Knowledgeable about manufacturing principles such as Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, and Lean Manufacturing Principles
- Demonstrated communication and leadership skills in a production environment
- Demonstrated experience with quality management and compliance
