Power Electronics Engineer – Power Systems
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Electronics Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the design, development, and optimization of advanced power systems solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronics engineering, particularly in power systems, and a passion for pushing the boundaries of technology to create impactful products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Power Systems Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop electronic components and systems for power distribution networks. Apply principles of electrical engineering to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable power transfer
- Component Selection: Select appropriate components such as transformers, converters, inverters, and protection devices to optimize system performance while considering factors like efficiency, cost, and environmental impact
- Circuit Design: Create circuit schematics and PCB layouts for power electronics systems. Consider factors like thermal management, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), and manufacturability.
- Simulation and Analysis: Use simulation tools to model and analyze power systems, verifying their performance under various operating conditions. Optimize designs to meet specifications and industry standards.
- Prototyping and Testing: Build and test prototypes of power electronics systems to validate their functionality and performance. Collaborate with testing teams to ensure designs meet safety and regulatory requirements.
- Innovation and Research: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in power systems technology. Explore new concepts, methodologies, and emerging components to drive innovation within the field.
- Project Management: Manage project timelines, milestones, and resources effectively to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality solutions. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to align engineering efforts with business goals.
- Documentation: Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and reports. Maintain accurate records of design iterations and changes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with software engineers, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate electronics components seamlessly into larger systems.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in design reviews and post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement in processes, designs, and outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience in electronics engineering, particularly in power systems design and development.
- Proficiency in C+ or Python programming
- Strong knowledge of power electronics components, topologies, and control techniques.
- Experience with PCB design software
