Electronic Engineer – Power Design                                       

Job Summary:

Candidate is responsible for the design, development, and testing of electronic systems, components, or circuits for use within Micro Control Burn-In Systems.  The candidate will use computer assisted engineering design software and equipment to perform assignments.  This position reports to the System Design Engineering Department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design DC to DC switching power supplies.  Designs are high current (>100A), high power (>250W), polyphase, and microcontroller controlled.
• Analog simulation & analysis of DC to DC switching power supplies.
• Select components, design & enter schematics, create BOMs, and propose PCB placements.
• Implement microcontroller code to control power supplies.
• Writes test programs to verify hardware.  Forwards diagnostic templates to software department for customer implementation.
• Responsible for observing existing processes and making recommendations for improvement.
• Develops user manuals that include detailed how-to, maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Collaborates with Sales team and customers to define product requirements.
• Performs all other related duties as requested or assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience in related field
• Ability to work cooperatively as a team and independently.
• Strong communication and organization skills

Preferred Qualifications:
 

• Control loop stability design for switching power supplies.
• Experience programming microcontrollers.
• Experience writing programs in Python and/or C.
• Verilog FPGA logic design and digital simulation experience.
• Cadence Allegro.
