Product Manager
SkyWater is excited to be partnering with a returning manufacturing client located here in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area. They’re a well-established manufacturer of consumer goods and they’re seeking a Product Manager to lead innovation and lifecycle management for product lines. This privately held company is known for its commitment to quality, integrity, and customer satisfaction, with a culture rooted in teamwork and continuous improvement.
This is an exciting opportunity for a product leader who thrives in cross-functional environments and is passionate about launching new products, identifying market trends, and driving strategic growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a multi-year strategic product roadmap aligned with growth goals and customer needs
- Lead the full product lifecycle—from concept to launch and ongoing improvement
- Translate market feedback into actionable Product Requirements Documents (PRDs)
- Build business cases for new products, including cost analysis and pricing strategy
- Partner with engineering, sales, marketing, procurement, and manufacturing to ensure on-time, on-budget product development
- Manage product performance metrics (sales, margin, customer satisfaction)
- Analyze market trends and conduct competitive assessments
- Lead and coordinate product launches, training, and go-to-market planning
- Drive continuous improvement, cost reduction, and product rationalization initiatives
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field (MBA a plus)
- 5+ years of product management experience—preferably in furniture markets
- Experienced with Durable Goods or industrial/commercial equipment
- Proven success in launching new products and managing complex portfolios
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Familiarity with project management and product development methodologies
