Project Engineer
SkyWater is partnering with an existing client in the North Metro to find a Project Engineer for their growing team! The Project Engineer will be responsible for managing projects throughout their lifecycle while working directly with customers and internal engineering teams on these projects. This includes working with customers to design products, partnering with internal teams (manufacturing, quality, etc.), and keeping projects on time & within budget for customers. This is a brand-new role on the team created due to high customer demand. Our client is a mid-sized manufacturer who’s an industry leader in their space and typically works in regulated industries (aerospace/defense, aviation, etc.). We’re looking for a degreed engineer with around 3 years of experience (project engineering, mechanical engineering, or combination of similar roles) and someone who enjoys working directly with customers & internal teams. Responsibilities
- Work directly with customers on product designs.
- Partner with internal engineering teams on projects (Manufacturing, Quality, etc.)
- Develop testing and evaluate products to make sure they meet customer specifications.
- Maintain communication with customers throughout project lifecycles.
- Other duties or responsibilities as assigned.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in design, mechanical or project engineering roles (or combination of similar roles).
- Experience working in the aerospace/defense industry preferred (or similar regulated environment).
- Ability to prioritize work responsibilities and manage multiple tasks at a time.
- Strong communication skills (both verbal & written).
