The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for achieving the daily and long-term sales goals across a geographic region. They are responsible for not only the sales results of the sellers but, but also for the objectives of the region/business unit. This includes coaching, inspiring and performance managing the sales team, supporting marketing efforts, and managing critical vendor relationships. Ongoing strategic leadership including the execution of specific sales processes and business objectives is critical to this role.
 

Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes a strategy to sustainably grow market share in the assigned region, exceeding sales volume and gross profit targets.
  • Provides strategic direction and support necessary to penetrate accounts and close opportunities.
  • Provides leadership for the region's outside sales and service team including coaching, performance improvement, and personal career development.
  • Actively Identifies and evaluates new customers, market conditions, opportunities, and competitive pressures.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 5-10 years industrial sales/sales management experience required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Technical aptitude; familiarity with manufacturing processes.
  • Proven communication, analytical, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
