SAP Development Manager
SkyWater Search is partnering with a growing company in the manufacturing industry that is seeking an SAP Development Manager to lead the design, development, and optimization of SAP solutions in an S/4HANA environment. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for guiding a team of developers, partnering with business stakeholders, and driving impactful SAP projects across multiple modules and technologies.
Our client has emphasized they are targeting candidates with experience supporting an internal SAP environment (not consulting-only backgrounds).
Responsibilities
Provide technical oversight across SAP development (ABAP, CDS Views, Fiori, IDocs, BTP). Lead the design, development, and implementation of RICEF objects, SAP workflows, and system integrations. Mentor and manage a team of developers, promoting best practices and continuous learning. Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, scalable SAP solutions. Troubleshoot and resolve complex SAP issues while ensuring peak system performance. Evaluate emerging tools and technologies to support evolving business needs.
Desired Skills and Experience
BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience. 10+ years in IT systems development and support (manufacturing, sales, distribution, or related). 5+ years hands-on SAP development (ABAP/S/4HANA with MM, PP, FI, SD modules, BTP, EDI). 3+ years leading/managing a development team. Strong experience with CDS Views, Fiori applications, SAP BTP Integration Suite. Background working with internal SAP instances (not consulting-only). Knowledge of integration with 3rd-party products and Basis administration. Experience with methodologies such as ASAP, Agile, or ITIL.
