Senior Accountant
We are partnering with a high growth, PE backed company located here in the Twin Cities to help them find their next Senior Accountant! This is a newly created role that will touch a little bit of everything- month end, fixed assets, AR, and reconciliations and a ERP implementation. There is also the opportunity for this person to touch budgeting, forecasting, and planning!
The CFO, who this individual will report to, is a phenomenal mentor. He would love to help this Senior Accountant take their career to the next level. Responsibilities
- Assists with month end close process in ERP system as assigned.
- Verifies and/or completes payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.
- Work with customers and/or vendors to reconcile customer statements and/or supplier statements ensuring our records are accurate and up to date.
- Assists with capital expenditures processes including assigning project numbers
- Maintains and reconcile balance sheet accounts as assigned during the month end close process by verifying, allocating and posting required transactions as well as resolving discrepancies
- Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
Desired Skills and Experience
- 3 or more years of recent accounting and finance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to take initiative and work independently
- 2 or 4 year degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
- Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
- Passion for internal customer satisfaction and process improvement.
- Ability to multi-task, function effectively in a fast paced, team-oriented work environment
