Senior Accountant
SkyWater is partnering with a local company in the Twin Cities to find their senior accountant. This position will report to the Controller and sit with three other accountants. You will join a growing company and work on a hybrid flex schedule in a lively office with two convenient locations of your choice! This role will be involved with the GL, reconciliations and special projects. This position has great growth potential, with the ability to move into an accounting manager down the line if desired. Responsibilities
- General ledger entry, reconciliation, and auditing.
- Verify the accuracy of sales tax billing and reporting.
- Review, prepare, and distribute periodic financial reporting.
- Examine accounting records, including financial statements and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to standards defined within the department.
- Report out to the Accounting Manager regarding the finances of the organization.
- Review and analyze gross profit reports.
- Develop and implement proper processes and procedures for the keeping of financial records, making use of current technologies.
- Create forms and manuals for accounting personnel.
- Work well independently or within the team to problem solve issues and accomplish tasks and goals.
Desired Skills and Experience
- 4-year degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience
- Strong experience with Excel
- Good problem-solving skills
- Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
