Responsibilities
- Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement within accounting operations
- Provide documentation and support for external audits, ensuring timely and accurate completion of audit requests
- Maintain compliance with internal control policies and procedures
- Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations for month-end close, primarily related to inventory, payroll, allocations, and eliminations
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and related reports
- Contribute to special projects aimed at enhancing ERP system integrity and driving process improvements
- Prepare documentation to support periodic government reports and surveys
- Perform special projects as assigned
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred
- 3+ years of related accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment
- Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to drive process improvements and change
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with sound business judgment
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and proficiency with accounting, spreadsheet, and word processing software
