We are partnering with a long time client where we’ve placed several people at so know the team and culture well. This opportunity is best for those looking for a CFO or CAO track as you’ll be exposed to everything needed to accelerate your career. Work includes, but isn’t limited to, strategic accounting, IPO readiness, general controllership, system implementations, project management, financial reporting, technical accounting and FP&A with Chicago’s more prominent companies (public and high growth private/PE backed). 

Everyone we’ve placed is still with the company and mostly touts their high performance culture, investment in personal and professional development and variety of work. You’ll work less hours than you would in public accounting, make more money and get to actually do the work and lead initiatives instead of just auditing and advising as they don’t have audit services – therefore no independence issues. 

Desired Skills and Experience

• 3-5 years public accounting and/ or corporate accounting in large publicly traded companies
• CPA preferred
• Proven track of career progression
• Communicates well at all levels, with internal and external stakeholders
• Enthusiastic attitude, ability to pivot and motivation to grow professionally and personally
