We have been retained by a fast-growing, global $500M publicly-traded manufacturing company to identify their next Senior Director of Sales (Enterprise). Reporting to the VP of Sales, this position is one of the most important hires at the organization as our client looks towards the next phase of growth. With a well-regarded sales team of over 50 people, this sales leader is well-positioned to lead & accomplish a number of large, strategic multi-year sales initiatives on behalf of the organization. 

Our client is aggressively growing, both organically and through multiple acquisitions in the past few years. They have seen many smaller competitors jump into their space in the last 5-7 years, but the are still seen as the industry leader. This hire will ensure that they continue to drive the industry forward as the #1 leader in the space.

*** This organization is headquartered in western suburbs of Minneapolis, MN, and the position is required to be in the office 3 days/week (Tues-Thurs). ***

Responsibilities

- Drive revenue growth: Take ownership of the sales pipeline and actively pursue opportunities to drive revenue growth. - Develop and implement enterprise sales strategies: Collaborate with product, marketing, and fulfillment teams to develop comprehensive sales strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives and revenue targets for our enterprise accounts. - Develop and execute sales strategies, drive revenue growth, and oversee a team of 6 Sales Managers and 50 Account Managers - Work closely with the sales team to achieve and exceed regional sales targets, monitor performance, and provide guidance and coaching as needed. - Team management and leadership: Build, develop, and lead a high-performing enterprise sales team. - Recruit and retain top talent, provide training and mentoring, and setting clear performance expectations. - Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the enterprise sales organization. - Strategic account management: Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and strategic partners. - Collaborate with the sales team to identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and expanding business with existing customers. - Ensure customer satisfaction and address any issues or concerns promptly. - In-depth knowledge of selling strategies and methods - Market intelligence and competitive analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities. - Provide insights and recommendations to the executive team. - Collaborate with marketing, product, and operations teams to ensure alignment of enterprise sales efforts with marketing initiatives, product development, and operational processes. - Sales forecasting and reporting: Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts, reports, and performance metrics for the team. - Present enterprise sales data and insights to the executive team, highlighting key trends, opportunities, and challenges. - Make data-driven decisions to optimize sales performance in leading and expanding our sales efforts in the Americas region.

Desired Skills and Experience

- 12+ year of enterprise B2B sales experience, 5+ leading a sales team - Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building, developing, and managing high-performing sales teams for enterprise accounts. - Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles in a business-to-business environment - Demonstrated experience in developing and executing market and account-based sales strategies, achieving sales targets, and driving revenue growth. - Experience developing, executing and managing sales process, sales pipeline, forecast and progress to revenue targets using Salesforce as the primary sales enablement, tracking and reporting platform. - Great strategic planning, organizational and creative thinking skills - In-depth knowledge of selling strategies and methods. - Demonstrated business acumen and understanding of financial metrics related to sales performance. - Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally with other departments.
