Senior Process Engineer
The Senior Process Engineer will serve as the subject matter expert for sheet molding compound manufacturing processes and focus in hands-on training & development, documenting processes, and helping the team implement best practices towards process improvements on the production floor.
We’re looking for a change agent for this role, someone who enjoys and excels in identifying projects to lead as well as being hands-on implementing those projects.
You’ll work closely with the engineering team, quality manager, plant manager, and maintenance team to implement process improvements on a daily basis.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in an engineering related field (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, etc...)
- Minimum of 4+ years experience with compression molding manufacturing or sheet molding compound manufacturing
- Proven experience in batch chemical processes, compression molding equipment, and composite materials
- Proven experience leading and managing projects related to manufacturing including timeline/budget, managing cross-functionally, and delivery
- Proven experience with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, six sigma, 5S, and CAPAs.
