Senior Quality Engineer
A growing, privately held industrial manufacturer is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to play a key role in driving quality performance across operations and managing customer relationships.
The Senior Quality Engineer will support plant-wide quality systems, lead customer quality interactions, and provide direction to internal inspection and technician teams. The role combines technical depth with cross-functional influence and offers a pathway into broader leadership responsibility.
This position offers meaningful exposure to leadership responsibilities, including oversight of internal inspection resources and customer-facing quality initiatives.
This is an on-site role within a collaborative, hands-on manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary quality liaison for assigned customer accounts
- Lead root cause investigations and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across production and inspection
- Support and guide internal inspection and quality technician teams
- Develop and maintain quality documentation (PPAP, control plans, FMEA, work instructions, etc.)
- Analyze quality metrics and present findings to internal stakeholders
- Partner with operations, engineering, and supply chain to resolve quality issues
- Participate in internal and external audits
- Contribute to long-term quality strategy and process development
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field (Engineering Technology backgrounds considered)
- 5–10+ years of quality engineering experience within a manufacturing environment
- Experience interacting directly with customers on quality matters
- Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams
- Experience supporting or guiding inspectors/technicians preferred
- ASQ certification (CQE or similar) a plus
