We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Analyst to join a leading manufacturing company based in Plymouth, MN.

The Senior Tax Analyst will be responsible for managing and ensuring compliance with all aspects of tax regulations, providing valuable insights, and supporting the company’s strategic tax planning initiatives.

This position requires a seasoned tax professional with in-depth knowledge and experience in both federal and state tax matters.

Responsibilities

  • 1) Tax Compliance:
  • Lead the preparation and filing of federal and state income tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance. 2) Tax Planning:
  • Collaborate with the finance and executive teams to develop and implement tax planning strategies that align with the company's overall financial goals.
  • Provide recommendations for tax-efficient business structures and transactions. 3) Transfer Pricing:
  • Manage transfer pricing documentation and compliance to ensure adherence to international tax regulations.
  • Work with teams to optimize transfer pricing strategies. 4) Tax Provisions:
  • Oversee the preparation of quarterly and annual tax provisions.
  • Analyze financial data to determine tax implications and reserves. 5) Audit Support:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors during tax audits.
  • Prepare and provide necessary documentation to support audit defense. 6) Research and Analysis:
  • Conduct in-depth research on complex tax issues and provide timely and accurate analysis.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in tax management. 7) Compliance Review:
  • Perform periodic reviews of tax compliance processes and documentation.
  • Implement improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MST preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Tax Analyst or similar role, with a focus on federal and state taxation.
  • In-depth knowledge of US tax laws and regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
