Sr. Product Engineering Manager

Position Summary
The Senior Product Engineering Manager will lead the product engineering organization, driving the design, development, and improvement of advanced manufactured products. This role requires a blend of strategic leadership and hands-on engineering oversight, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and at the highest level of quality. The successful candidate will partner closely with operations, R&D, and quality to bring innovative, reliable products to market.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the Product Engineering team, setting direction and driving accountability.
- Oversee engineering projects from concept through launch, ensuring design for manufacturability and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to improve production processes, reduce cost, and enhance reliability.
- Manage engineering documentation, specifications, and change management processes.
- Introduce and enforce best practices for design validation, testing, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support customer requests, product modifications, and new product development initiatives.
- Drive innovation in materials, processes, and design approaches to maintain competitive advantage.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related Engineering field (Master’s preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive engineering experience in machining, metal fabrication, or advanced manufacturing; 5+ years in leadership roles.
- Strong background in product design, prototyping, and production support.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and managing engineering projects in regulated industries.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, DFMA, GD&T, and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with ability to influence at all levels.
