Supplier Quality Engineer
The quality engineer will assist in day to day quality improvement processes, while also driving the development of supplier quality initiatives. In his role, you will be customer-facing on a regular basis while developing and vetting supplier processes, and take an overall big picture approach to the quality team. This is an on-site position.
Responsibilities
- Introduce and submit components, including Part Submission Warrant (PSW) for specific categories.
- Manage quality info, shelf life, and Inspection Plan in SAP for buying components.
- Take the lead in executing, tracking, and wrapping up Safe Launch activities post G70.
- Lead the Feedback, Assessment, and Corrective Action phase of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
- Implement and oversee supplier quality assurance measures across the process chain, keeping an eye on supplier quality performance.
- Handle supplier quality issues, create Quality Notifications (QN), and follow up on 8D corrective actions.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in an engineering-related field
- 2+ years of experience in a quality engineering role, ideally with experience related to supplier quality
- Understanding of APQP
- Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives, quality assurance, and operational quality procedures
- Desired: experience with supplier development
- Ability to work on site in Delavan, WI
