SkyWater Search Partners has been retained by a well-established, Midwest-based organization to lead the search for a Talent Acquisition Manager. This role sits within a respected, mission-driven company operating across multiple states with a large footprint in rural and agricultural communities. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing talent acquisition strategies that align with business needs while championing a culture of excellence, inclusion, and continuous improvement. This role oversees both strategic programs and hands-on recruiting efforts and will lead a small, dedicated team. It offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on workforce development, process improvement, and hiring practices across the organization. This position is based in Sleepy Eye, MN and follows a hybrid schedule (3 days/week onsite). Occasional travel to other facilities and career events may be required.
 

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business leaders and HR colleagues to understand current and future talent needs across hourly and salaried functions.
  • Build and maintain recruiting programs that attract high-quality talent, including employer branding, community and school partnerships, and proactive sourcing initiatives.
  • Serve as a "player-coach" by both managing team priorities and personally recruiting for key or hard-to-fill positions.
  • Drive a data-informed approach by establishing and tracking meaningful recruiting metrics and sharing insights with senior leadership.
  • Ensure all hiring practices comply with applicable labor laws, internal policies, and regulatory standards.
  • Promote the company’s values and employee value proposition throughout the hiring and onboarding process.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline.
  • 6+ years of progressive experience in talent acquisition, including at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Demonstrated success in high-volume recruiting environments, ideally across multiple locations or business units.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with business leaders and drive alignment between talent strategies and operational needs.
  • Strong sourcing skills and experience implementing recruiting programs and branding efforts.
  • Working knowledge of employment law, hiring compliance, and immigration sponsorship.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Experience in agriculture, food production, or manufacturing is a plus.
