Vice President of Application Delivery
Skywater has been retained by our client, a high growth and well-established software development company, to bring on a key member of their technology leadership team. Reporting to the CEO and partnering with the CTO, this organization has a track record of stable growth and has been recognized as a top workplace. This role is a critical piece to their future expansion plans and will be responsible for the day to day operations of the engineering organization.

Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of core software application development
- Lead managers and guide software engineering group (dotted line to 30 FTEs)
- Partner with CEO and product leadership to estimate projects, validate the technical implementation of product designs and scope of work
- Spearhead program management and planning efforts for application software delivery, including capacity planning + prioritization, status reporting, issue resolution
- Mentor, coach, participate in talent management of engineering organization
Desired Skills and Experience
- 15+ years of experience with at least 5 years of technology leadership (leading multiple teams)
- Be highly process driven and analytical; ability to create dependable and repeatable processes that can work efficiently at scale
- Ability to see and think big picture (how will engineering organizations decision affect customer expectations / experience, company goals, future opportunities)
- Experience overseeing teams that are responsible for web and mobile development
- BS / BA in technical field or STEM is desired, MS or MBA is a plus
- Enthusiastic hands-on technical leader that has a builder mentality and is willing to roll up their sleeves when needed (not an ivory tower role)
