Vice President of Finance
SkyWater Search Partners is excited to be conducting a retained search for a Vice President of Finance on behalf of a well-known global leader in their industry. This strategic role oversees a $500M+ business unit and reports directly to the President. The VP of Finance will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the business.
As a key member of the Senior Management Committee, the successful candidate will provide strategic financial leadership, partner closely with executive leadership, and drive the financial performance of the region. This highly visible role offers significant influence across corporate strategy, operations, growth initiatives, and M&A activities.
Responsibilities
Serves as a key member of the Senior Management Committee, partnering closely with the President of the Americas business unit. Provides executive financial leadership, advising on strategic initiatives, operating model decisions, and M&A. Acts as interim leader in the President’s absence. Chairs the Investment Committee/retirement plan and serves on the Benefits Committee. Functions as a corporate officer for Americas entities. Leads evaluation of short- and long-term financial objectives, ensuring alignment with budgets and overall strategy. Supports execution of long-term initiatives to strengthen regional growth and profitability. Provides financial recommendations to improve performance and identify new opportunities. Directs accounting, reporting, and internal controls for all Americas entities. Manages consolidation, audits, GAAP/IFRS reporting, and compliance with corporate requirements. Oversees annual budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis. Manages cash flow, credit facilities, debt obligations, and surplus pooling. Negotiates financial support from local governments where appropriate. Develops and executes tax strategies, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Oversees tax filings, provisions, audits, and transfer pricing.
Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field (required) MBA (required); CPA designation preferred Minimum 15 years of progressive, relevant experience Proven leadership with strong analytical, financial, and strategic planning skills Excellent communication abilities, including verbal, written, and presentation skills Demonstrated creative problem-solving and decision-making capabilities Prior experience in a global organization and direct involvement in M&A activities (required) Industrial/Manufacturing or similar industry experience required
